Ame, the french word for 'soul' is the name of this piece...it represents the light found within us...our soul. I'm very much inspired by the Ethiopian people and their spiritually rich way of life, so I designed it as part of a project that honors their culture & history. The premium yarn is a shout out to the beautiful embroidery found on the garb of the people.
The design poster below reads: "Ame dawns the color of the cultural food, Injera, but takes the shape of the adornment that the Ethiopians have been proudly wearing for generations."
